The Food Bank of South Jersey exists to provide an immediate solution to the
urgent problem of hunger by providing food to needy people, teaching them
to eat nutritiously, and helping them to find sustainable ways to improve
their lives. They carry out their mission by operating on 7 core values:

In New Jersey, Map the Meal Gap shows that
13.1% of people living in the counties assisted
by the Food Bank of South Jersey—Burlington,
Camden, Gloucester, and Salem—face food
insecurity.
That means there are over 196,000 hungry
people in south Jersey, where the average
meal is calculated to cost $2.68.
